1. Controller
Golf GameBook, Golf Society, internet and mobile applications (“Service) is owned and operated by GameBook Oy, (“GameBook”) Tarvonsalmenkatu 15, 02600 Espoo, Finland, GameBook together with its affiliates is the data controller for the Service. (Any and all use and processing of your personally identifiable information by GameBook is governed by the laws of Finland and the European Community (EU) and this Privacy Policy. )
When you create a tournament or game, you become the official data controller for the information of the players of the game. If you have temporary players in the game, who have not yet registered to the Service, you may need to ask their consent before adding their information to the Service.

3. Changes in the Privacy Policy
GameBook may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If GameBook makes material changes to this Privacy Policy, GameBook will post a notice at Service internet pages along with the updated Privacy Policy. Your continued use of Services will signify your acceptance of the changes to this Privacy Policy.
4. What data is being processed
The Service is primarily designed to help you to share information about your golfing activities with others and to facilitate interaction among golfers around the world. Therefore, all photographs and other information you share at the Service are by default visible to your golfing friends and the friends of your golfing friends. Upon registration or later, you can change your profile to private (visible to your selected followers which you have accepted as such). By using our Service, you understand and agree that we are providing a platform for you to post content, including golfing activities, comments and other materials to the Service and to share your content to your golf community. This means that other users (your friends) may search for, see, use, or share any of your content that you make publicly available through the Service, consistent with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.
If you choose, you can find friends and other golfers from the Service to locate other people with your Service accounts either through a search of names and usernames on the Service by typing a name to search and we will perform a search on our Service. Any information or content that you voluntarily disclose for posting to the Service, becomes available to the public to your followers. To change your privacy settings on the Service, please change your profile setting.
You are the official data controller for the photographs and other public information you post about other people. You may need to ask their consent before posting the information.
Facebook and Twitter give you the option to share information about your activities in the Services with others within your network. You recognize and agree that GameBook is not liable for any such third party use of your personal data.
5. Types of personal data GameBook processes
GameBook processes following data:
Data on registration for the Service and special events (contests, sweepstakes, surveys, votings, etc.), such as:name, email and mail address, phone number, other contact information, date of birth, country, your time zone, language and gender;
Login data: username and user password;
Facebook Connect information:You can log in to our Services using Facebook Connect sign-in service. Facebook will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal information with GameBook such as your name and email address to pre-populate our sign up form;
Profile data, such as:golf handicap, and additional information describing your golfing skills, scoring, equipment you use, messages, pictures, videos and statistics; the organizations and links on your profile, the names and profile pictures of your friends and people you follow or you are followed by, and other information you have included in your profile; This information allows us to help you or others be “found” on GameBook.
Email and other communications:subscriptions for newsletters, marketing emails and other communications, and data about sending, receiving and reading the communications;
Cookies and Service usage data: To collect information about your web session and how you use the Service and navigate to and through the Service, your browser will store a small text file (Cookie), web beacon or other similar file on your computer. They are used to optimize the Service and advertisements according to your interests. You can enable your browser to refuse cookies, but doing so may affect the use of Services. Permanent cookies remain on your computer’s hard drive until you delete them manually using your browser or operating system software.
Your location:Our Service starts to collect location data from sources such as GPS signals once you install the application and consent to the application’s tracking your location by activating location feature. Location features are only available if you activate them. You can deactivate these features at any time and GameBook will stop collecting this type of information. The location data is processed and stored only for the duration that is required for the provision of the location related services. GameBook will not share your GPS location with third parties without your consent. However, GB shall have right to share anonymized location data (any private individual cannot be identified) with third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
6. Purpose of the processing of personal data
The basis for processing personal data is the performance of a contract, the legitimate interest of the company based on customer relationship or other connection or; customer´s consent.
Data may be used for the following and similar purposes in compliance with your preferences:
1. to provide, manage and develop the Services and other GameBook´s services and products and related advertising; provide user and technical support; and monitor compliance with the Service terms and conditions;
2. to contact you and send you service messages, invitations, and other social networking messages; promotional material or special offers, free newsletters or e-mails in order to share information about the products and services of GameBook and its marketing partners and advertisers;
3. to monitor and analyze the use of the Service, and use profiling in order to improve, optimize and personalize the Service, content and advertisements according to your interests and actions in the Service.

For the purposes described in this privacy notice, personal data may also be collected and updated from publicly available sources and based on information received from authorities or other third parties within the limits of the applicable laws and regulations. Data updating of this kind is performed manually or by automated means.
GameBook may store and/or transfer your personal data to its affiliates and partners in and outside of EU/EEA member states and the United States in accordance with mandatory legislation and this Privacy Policy.GameBook takes care of suitable safeguards for the transfer. Without your consent, we do not sell, or otherwise disclose personal information to outside parties. GameBook may hire agents and contractors to collect and process personal data on GameBook’s behalf. In such cases GameBook has the right to share your personal data as necessary for the aforementioned third parties to provide their services for GameBook. GameBook is not liable for the acts and omissions of these third parties, except as provided by mandatory law.
9. Sharing personal information with advertising companies
GameBook may employ third party ad serving technologies to serve advertisements in the Servive. GameBook or third parties operating the ad serving technology may use demographic and location information as well as information logged from your hardware or device to ensure that appropriate advertising is presented within the Service. GameBook or third parties may collect and use data for this purpose including, but not limited to IP address (including for purposes of determining your approximate geographic location), UDID, software, applications, hardware, browser information, internet and mobile application usage information. The foregoing data may be used and disclosed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the privacy policy of the company providing the ad serving technology.
You recognize and agree that the advertising companies who deliver ads for GameBook may combine the information collected with other information they have independently collected from other services or products. These companies collect and use information under their own privacy policies. These ad serving technologies are integrated into Services; if you do not want to be subject to this technology, do not use or access Services. Although GameBook takes commercially reasonable steps to instruct such advertising companies to comply with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, GameBook does not have access to or control of third party technologies.
10. Security of your personal information
Personal data collected by GameBook is stored in secure operating environments that are not available to the public. Only those GameBook´s employees and subcontractors who need to process your information to do their work are allowed access. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information of Service Users. However, no data system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
11. Retention of personal information
GameBook deletes all aforementioned data in its possession when it is not needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless required or permitted by law or needed to resolve disputes, enforce GameBook´s user agreements, or comply with technical or legal requirements and constraints related to the security, integrity and operation of Services.
12. Protection of children’s privacy
We do not knowingly collect any personal data from people under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 is attempting to use the Services, we will inform the minor that he or she is ineligible to do so. We will then remove the minor´s information from our records.
13. Your rights as data subject
GameBook does not verify the correctness of personal data that you submit. In the Profile section, you can change your profile publicity options and your preferences for email marketing and participation in contests, etc; and change or update other personal information you have provided to us. In addition, you can choose to share your email address with GameBook´s partners to receive their offers. You can always opt-out of receiving promotional emails (such as newsletters or offers) from GameBook by sending a request to support@golfgamebook.com.
If you opt-out of promotional email communication, you may still receive Service messages, invitations, and other messages in relation to the games, contests and social networking.
Upon your request, Golf GameBook makes good faith efforts to enable you to review, update, correct or delete your personal data in GameBook’s possession. In order to do so, please contact GameBook at support@golfgamebook.comor GameBook Oy, Tarvonsalmenkatu 15, 02600 Espoo, Finland, Attn: Privacy Policy. GameBook will need to verify your identity and your access request.
As a data subject, you also have a right, according to EU’s General Data Protection Regulation to object processing or request restricting the processing and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority responsible for processing personal data.
For specific personal reasons, you also have the right to object to profiling and other processing operations, when the processing of your data is based on our customer relationship with you. In connection with your request, you will need to identify the specific situation, based on which you object to the processing. We can refuse the request of objection only on legal grounds. As a data subject you have the right to object to processing at any time free of charge, including profiling in so far as it relates to direct marketing.
Terms of Use
This Terms of Use Agreement (the “Agreement”) governs your use of the Service located at www.golfgamebook.com and www.golfsociety.comand the mobile application and any other related service (the “Service”), which is owned and operated by GameBook Oy, Tarvonsalmenkatu 15, 02600 Espoo, Finland, support@golfgamebook.com(“GB” “we,” “our” or “us”).
By accessing, viewing, downloading or otherwise using the Service or any webpage or feature available through the Service, or by clicking “Register” during the registration process, you conclude a legally binding agreement with GB based on the terms of this Agreement and become a Service user (“User”). For clarity, You acknowledge that Apple is not a party to this Agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, such entity may have a separate agreement with us, but you are nevertheless individually bound by this Agreement. If you do not want to become a User, do not conclude the Agreement, do NOT click “Register” and do not access, view, download or otherwise use the Service, webpage or information available through the Service.
No person under the age of 13 or who is a minor under his/her local legislation is eligible to use the Service. In the event that you are of the age of 13 or older but a minor in your country, you will need to obtain consent from your parent(s) or other legal guardian(s) for using the Service and complete the registration on your behalf for you. By becoming a User, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms and conditions of this Agreement and that you agree to be bound by all of its provisions.
1. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE
The Service is providing User with a public websites and a golf community and score tracking service and related mobile phone application. No devices or connections necessary for the use of Service are provided subject to these Terms of Use. You are responsible for purchasing, maintaining and updating such devices and connections, including (1) all equipment necessary for their own Internet connection, handheld device, mobile phone, computer and modem and (2) provision for User’s access to the Internet, and (3) payment of any fees relate with such connection.
2. OWNERSHIP
All copyrights in the Materials are owned by GB or its licensors to the fullest extent provided under the applicable laws. All rights in the company names, trademarks, trade names, logos and designs whether or not appearing in large print or with the trademark symbol, belong exclusively to GB or its licensors, and are protected from reproduction, imitation, dilution or confusing or misleading uses under national and international trademark laws. The use or misuse of any copyrights or trademarks is expressly prohibited and nothing stated or implied on the Service confers on you any license or right under any copyright or trademark of GB or any third party.
The Service and the Materials are intended for customers of GB. You may not use the Service or the Materials for any purpose not related to your business with GB. Any use of the Service or the Materials or any of its functionality for a purpose not permitted by this Agreement is grounds for the immediate revocation of any usernames, passwords or other permissions that may have been granted to you by GB for use of the Service.
Except as specifically allowed in these Terms of Use, User is not entitled to use, copy, reproduce, republish, store, modify, transfer, display, encode, transmit, distribute, lease, license, sell, rent, lend, convey, upload or otherwise transfer, assign or make publicly available your account, the Service, a part thereof or the material contained therein in any way. User is not entitled to adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to discover the source code, underlying ideas, algorithms, methods, techniques, file formats or programming interfaces of, or create derivative works from the Service or any part thereof, except to the extent permitted under the applicable laws. User is not entitled to remove, modify, hide, obscure, disable or modify any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices, marks, labels or any other branding elements contained on or within the Service, falsify or delete any author attributions, legal notices or other labels of the origin or source of the material, or misrepresent the source of ownership of the Service.
3. LICENSE AND WARRANT YOUR SUBMISSIONS
GB grants You a non-exclusive, non-transferable limited right to access and use the Service, against due payment of the agreed fees (if applicable), in accordance with these Terms of Use.
You do not have to submit anything to us, but if you choose to submit something (including any User generated content, feedback, ideas, concepts, techniques and data), you must grant, and you actually grant by concluding this Agreement, a nonexclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, unlimited, assignable, sublicenseable, fully paid up and royalty free right to us to copy, modify, further develop, prepare derivative works of, improve, distribute, publish, display, remove, retain, add, and use, distribute, sell, sublicense, commercialize and otherwise exploit, in any way now known or in the future discovered, anything that you submit to us, without any further consent, notice and/or compensation to you or to any third parties. By submitting any information to us, you represent and warrant that such submission is accurate, is not confidential, and is not in violation of any contractual restrictions or other third-party rights. You further agree to inform GB in the event that any such information has changed since your registration with the Service and, if appropriate, you agree to make such modifications yourself to your profile. The privacy and protection of Users personal information shall however remain subject to Privacy Policy.
GB exercises no control over any content you or others submit while using the Service. GB has no obligation to verify the identity of any Users when they are connected to the site or to supervise the content which has been provided by Users. Note that we describe our current practices related to personally identifiable information collected through the Service in our Privacy Policy and that we may update our policies and practices from time to time at our sole discretion. Should you believe that someone is misusing or otherwise appropriating your information, you must immediately inform GB.
Prior to joining the Service, you must consider and decide, yourself, the extent to which you wish to reveal information about yourself to the large community of the Service Users and to GB and you must not communicate to the Service, its Users and GB any information the dissemination of which could be harmful to you.
4. PROHIBITED USES AND CONDUCT
GB may offer you an opportunity to transmit Materials or other information through the Service. You shall be responsible for, and shall assume all liability with respect to, any Materials or other information you transmit through the Service.
You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your account and You agree not to transmit, distribute, post, communicate or store information or other material on, to or through the Service that: (i) infringes in any way on any intellectual property or proprietary rights of others or on the privacy or publicity rights of others; (ii) is unlawful, profane, vulgar, sexually explicit, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, racist, hateful, slanderous, embarrassing or otherwise objectionable or that encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any law, as determined by GB in our sole discretion; (iii) constitutes advertisements or solicitations of business, surveys, contests, chain letters or pyramid schemes; or (iv) contains viruses, trojan horses, worms, time bombs or other computer programming routines or engines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or information.
You further agree not to: (i) use any incomplete, false or inaccurate biographical information or other information; (ii) delete or revise any material or other information of any other user of the Service; (iii) harvest, collect or send information about other users without their consent; (iv) take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Service’s infrastructure; (v) allow any other person or entity to use your username or password; (vi) attempt to decipher, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer any of the software comprising or in any way making up a part of the Service; or (vii) access data not intended for you or log into a server or account that you are not authorized to access.
GB may investigate occurrences that may involve violations of the foregoing prohibited uses and conduct, and may solicit, and cooperate with, law enforcement authorities in prosecuting users who are involved in such violations. Consequently, such violations may result in civil or criminal liability and GB is entitled to remove such violating material or prevent its use without notice. GB assumes, however, no responsibility for the conduct of any Your submitting any content, and assumes no responsibility for monitoring the Service for inappropriate content or conduct. GB does not, and cannot, pre-screen or monitor all content provided by You. Your use of the Service is at your own risk. By using the Service, you may be exposed to content provided by Users that is offensive, indecent or otherwise not in line with your expectations. If at any time GB chooses, in its sole discretion, to monitor the Service, GB nonetheless assumes no responsibility for content provided by Users and assumes no obligation to modify or remove any inappropriate content provided by Users. GB has the right, but not the obligation, in its sole discretion to edit, refuse to post, or remove any content provided by Users.

We reserve the right to allow, deny or rescind permission to link to the Service from any other Service, and to require termination of any link to the Service, for any reason whatsoever, in our sole and absolute discretion.
The Service may contain links through advertisements or otherwise to other website and services (“Linked Websites”). The Linked Websites are not under the control of GB, and GB is not responsible for the contents of the Linked Websites, including without limitation, links contained on Linked Websites or any changes or updates to the Linked Websites. Please note that your access to and use of the Service may be subject to third party terms and conditions and privacy policies, including but not limited to mobile software platforms, social networking services and payment providers. You recognize and agree that GameBook is not liable for any such third-party terms and conditions and their use of your personal data.
GB provides Linked Websites to you only as a convenience, and the inclusion of any such Linked s is not an endorsement by GB in favor of any company offering products or services on the Linked Websites.
6. OBLIGATIONS
You are required to comply with all applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with your use of the Service, and such further limitations as may be set forth in any written or on-screen notice from GB. As a condition of your use of the Service, you represent and warrant that you will not use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by this Agreement.
7. REGISTRATION, USERNAME, PASSWORD AND SECURITY
Registration is required to access the community features of this Service. Your registration shall not impose any duty on us to provide any particular service to you. You promise that the information You provide or provided in connection with registration to, and use of the Services is true and accurate. Your username and password will be your identity for purposes of interacting with the Service. You shall keep your username and password confidential, shall not disseminate this information, and shall use your username and password solely in accordance with this Agreement. You shall immediately notify GB if you learn of or suspect: (i) any loss or theft of your username or password; or (ii) any unauthorized use of your username or password or of the Service. In the event of such loss, theft or unauthorized use, GB may impose on you, in GB’s sole discretion, additional security obligations.
If any unauthorized person obtains access to the Service as a result of any act or omission by you, you shall use your best efforts to ascertain the source and manner of acquisition of this information and shall promptly inform GB thereof. You shall also cooperate and assist in any investigation relating to any such unauthorized access. You are responsible for actions taken by using your username until you have informed GB of the loss of the password and GB has had a reasonable time to prevent the use of the Service with the username.
8. IN-APP PURCHASES
The basic version of the Service is offered to you free of charge. You may also get additional versions, like Gold Membershipby paying subscription fee (hereinafter “Subscription”) through App Store Google Play or other application platforms (“Store”). You can learn more about our Service and Subscription by visiting our website www.golfgamebook.com. Such Subscriptions are offered with the contents and on the terms and conditions indicated from time to time. If you purchase Subscription, you need to be at least 18 years old to place an order.
The Subscription period is either one, six or twelve months, and it will be charged in accordance with the terms disclosed to you at the time of purchase as well as the general terms that apply to the Store in question. The Subscription renews automatically, unless you cancel it before the end of the current Subscription period by using your account settings. Cancellation needs to take place more than 24 hours before Your Subscription period’s renewal date.
FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF ANY DOUBT, ALL PURCHASES AND PAYMENTS MADE ARE FINAL AND NONREFUNDABLE.
9. PRIVACY POLICY

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
